Bowl of Fruit - General Update Pattern Special Cases
This example demonstrates a fruit bowl visualization that cycles through special cases of D3’s general update pattern: removing an element, updating an existing element’s type, and filtering out an element by index. It renders apples and lemons as SVG circles with ordinal color and radius scales, placed in a fixed bowl shape. The code uses `d3.select` and data joins with `enter`, `merge`, and `exit` to manage groups, while `setTimeout` triggers the sequential state changes.
