Europe_test2

This visualization shows a map of Europe with overlaid data points representing altitude measurements across the continent. It uses a conic conformal projection via `d3.geoConicConformal` and `d3.geoPath` to render country boundaries from a GeoJSON file, while circles plotted from a CSV dataset are colored on a quantile scale based on altitude values. An interactive range slider controls altitude filtering, and a button resets the view, with zoom support provided by `d3.zoom`. Hovering reveals country names through a tooltip.

Europe_test

This map shows the countries of Europe as solid dark-gray polygons on a white background. The data comes from a GeoJSON file named `custom.geo.json`, which contains the administrative boundaries. The visualization uses the D3.js v4 library, employing `d3.geoConicConformal()` for the map projection and `d3.geoPath()` to render each country's path. The map is centered on coordinates 10, 46 and rendered as SVG within a fixed 700 by 580 viewport.

Europe_flight

This map of Europe uses a conic conformal projection to render world landmasses and country boundaries, drawn with d3.geoPath from TopoJSON data. A red circle is manually positioned, while a graticule layer provided by d3.geoGraticule10 adds a reference grid. The visualization uses D3 v4 and SVG to display the geographic context.

TP 6 DataViz 2

A force-directed network graph maps voting patterns among French National Assembly members, filtering links to those with at least 15 shared votes. Nodes are colored by political group and labeled with member names and affiliations. The visualization uses D3 v4’s `d3.forceSimulation`, `d3.forceLink`, and `d3.forceManyBody` with SVG rendering. Data comes from the `scrutins.json` parliamentary roll-call votes and `acteurs_simple2.json` member metadata, loaded via the `queue` library.

TP 6 DataViz 1

A force-directed network graph displays relationships between French National Assembly members based on shared voting patterns. Nodes represent individual politicians, while links connect pairs who voted together frequently in legislative roll calls. The graph is generated from two JSON datasets: vote records (`scrutins.json`) and member information (`acteurs_simple2.json`). Using D3.js v4, the visualization applies `d3.forceSimulation` with link, many-body, and centering forces to position nodes, and renders as SVG circles and lines. The code includes a drag-and-drop interaction that temporarily increases simulation alpha for manual exploration.

TP4 suite 3

An animated choropleth map of France displays weekly influenza case counts across regions from 2003 to 2015. A time slider lets users scrub through the weeks, updating each region’s fill color using a threshold color scale. The visualization uses D3 v3 with `d3.geo.conicConformal` for projection, `d3.geo.path` for rendering GeoJSON regions, and `queue()` for loading CSV and GeoJSON data. Hovering over a region reveals its name and current value via a tooltip.

TP4 suite 2

This interactive choropleth maps weekly influenza case counts across French regions from 2003 to 2015. A slider animates through the 100 weeks, updating the fill color of each region based on a threshold color scale. The visualization uses `d3.geo.path()` with a conic conformal projection to render the GeoJSON regions. Tooltips reveal regional names and values on hover. Data comes from CSV files containing weekly case numbers per region, merged with the GeoJSON geometry within the `processData` function.

TP4 suite

This visualization is a choropleth map of France showing the total number of flu cases reported in each region during November 2014, colored on a five-step green scale. The map uses D3 v3 with a conic conformal projection to draw the geographic regions. The data is loaded from a CSV file containing weekly flu case counts for each region, and the total for November is computed by summing the weekly values whose column headers contain "/11/14". The tooltip displays the region name and its summed value on mouseover.

TP4

A choropleth map of France colors each region according to the number of flu cases reported on June 1, 2014, using a quantized green color scale. The visualization loads CSV data and GeoJSON geographic boundaries, then merges them by region name. It uses D3 v3 with `d3.geo.conicConformal` for projection and `d3.geo.path` to render the map paths, with fill colors assigned via `d3.scale.quantize`. Regions without matching data appear gray.
