Fork of Migrant Deaths Linked Views with Fast Brushing (VizHub)
A linked-view visualization of migrant deaths, combining a world map with a brushing time-series histogram. The map uses a natural Earth projection (d3.geoNaturalEarth1) and d3.geoPath to render country boundaries and graticules, with circle sizes scaled by the square root of monthly death counts. The histogram aggregates data by month, and a d3.brushX selection filters the map’s circles in real time. React’s useMemo optimizes re-renders, while data is loaded via d3.csv and TopoJSON from the World Atlas and Missing Migrants datasets.
