Loading CSV Data with D3

A horizontal bar chart shows the percentage of households living below the poverty line for each Chicago community, sorted in descending order from Riverdale to Lincoln Park. Chicago's Hardship Index

This visualization maps Chicago’s hardship index across its 77 community areas. Each neighborhood is filled with a color gradient from the dataset’s HARDSHIP INDEX column, ranging from low (1) to high (98) hardship. The code uses d3.geoPath to render the geographic boundaries and d3.scaleThreshold to assign colors. Hovering highlights the area and displays its name, while the legend clarifies the index scale.
