Temperature in San Francisco

This line chart displays a week of temperature data in San Francisco, converted from Celsius to Fahrenheit and plotted over time. It uses d3.scaleTime and d3.scaleLinear for the x and y axes, with d3.axisBottom and d3.axisLeft to render ticks. A d3.line generator creates the temperature path, and SVG circles mark individual data points. The data is loaded via d3.csv from a remote CSV file sourced from the Data Canvas Sense Your City project.

Cars Scatter Plot

This scatter plot visualizes the relationship between horsepower and weight for cars from the UCI Auto MPG dataset. The code uses d3.csv to load the data, d3.scaleLinear for both axes, and d3.axisLeft and d3.axisBottom to render tick marks and labels. Each car is drawn as a red, semi-transparent SVG circle positioned by its scaled horsepower and weight values. The chart includes axis labels and a title, rendered via SVG text elements with custom CSS styling for font sizes and colors.
