Five years of annual stock data from Yahoo Finance are explored through seven tabbed views that test visualization rules of thumb. The example compares 3D Plotly scatterplots against 2D SVG charts using D3, encoding close price, volume, sector, and year through position, color, and point size. Animated frames and a deliberately delayed tooltip demonstrate interaction effects. Plotly's camera control and D3’s `scaleOrdinal` and SVG rendering are core to the implementation.
