Pathetic Bar Chart
This example displays the top 10 most populous countries as a pathetic bar chart with no axes, using horizontal bars whose lengths encode population figures from the United Nations World Population Prospects 2019 dataset. The visualization is built with React for rendering SVG rectangles, while D3 v5 utilities like `scaleBand` and `scaleLinear` map country names and population values to pixel dimensions. The data is loaded asynchronously via `d3.csv`, and the chart updates once the first ten rows are fetched and parsed.
