Scatterplot Tour

An animated tour of a three-cluster scatterplot cycles through zoomed-in views of each cluster’s bounding box before returning to the full overview. The visualization uses d3.zoom transitions to animate between predefined transforms, rendering points as zero-length SVG strokes with round caps for performance. Data is generated randomly with d3.randomNormal, and cluster colors are assigned via d3.scaleOrdinal with d3.schemeCategory10.

Scatterplot_Colorlegend

This scatterplot visualizes the Iris dataset, plotting petal length against sepal width, with points colored by species. The React-based visualization uses d3.scaleLinear for the x and y axes and d3.scaleOrdinal for the color mapping. A hovering interaction on the color legend highlights one species by fading the other points using opacity, while rendering the selected group with the d3.csv-loaded data. Axes and SVG marks are generated with React components using d3.ticks for tick marks.

This example demonstrates a minimal D3 version 6 setup by rendering the text “Hello D3 version 6” in the browser body. It uses the `select` function from the `d3` module to target the `body` element and the `.text()` method to insert the string, with `index.html` loading `d3.v6.min.js` from a CDN and the bundled `index.js` script. The page applies large 13em centered text styling to emphasize the output.
