Fork of Fork of Migrants with brushing
This interactive visualization combines a world map with a brushing timeline to explore migration data. The map uses a natural Earth projection with graticules and country boundaries from the World Atlas TopoJSON, rendering migrant deaths and missing persons as semi-transparent circles scaled by square root. A time-series histogram below displays monthly totals, and users can brush across it to filter the map. The visualization is built with React, D3 v5 for geographic projections, scales, and brushing, and SVG for rendering.
