A Pinterest-like dynamic image layout for TeX

This example demonstrates a Pinterest-like image grid that arranges up to eight photos automatically into two columns, with optional slots left blank when fewer images are supplied. The layout is fully dynamic, requiring only file paths as input. The code defines a custom LaTeX command using TikZ nodes and includegraphics from the graphicx package, positioning each image sequentially within its column. The xparse package enables the command’s optional arguments, while example images come from Unsplash. A vanilla py-script to download all Pocket.com data via API.

This example demonstrates how to download a complete archive of all Pocket.com saved articles using the Pocket API. It shows the OAuth authentication flow, which opens a browser for user approval, then retrieves every article in batches of ten, displaying each article’s title and URL as it processes them. Crontab-ready Python script to update AutoDNS / InternetX domains

This example shows a crontab-ready Python script that automatically updates a domain’s IP address with the AutoDNS/InternetX gateway. It retrieves the current public IP from `http://whatismyip.akamai.com/`, compares it to the stored last IP, and exits if unchanged. Using the `requests` library for HTTP calls and `click` for CLI options, it constructs and sends XML requests via the `xml.dom.minidom` module to fetch the zone state and apply the new IP. Logging via the `logging` module tracks progress and errors.

A stylesheet for a very compact and post-it-colored Jira sprint board

This example presents a compact, kiosk-like Jira Kanban board styled for post-it-note readability. The stylesheet filters URLs to a specific rapidView board and applies custom colors to page headers, swimlanes, and issue cards, using CSS custom properties and attribute selectors. It hides irrelevant controls via `display: none`, reduces padding and font sizes for a tighter layout, and truncates long summaries with `-webkit-line-clamp`. Completed tasks shrink, overlap, and become semi-transparent using `opacity`, while assignees are absolutely positioned to the top-right corner.

Game of Life functional in Kotlin

This example demonstrates Conway’s Game of Life as a purely functional Kotlin implementation, rendering 100 generations of a small initial board pattern as console text output. The code defines a `step` function that computes the next generation using `mapIndexed` and a `neighboursAlive` helper, checking alive neighbor counts against the standard 2–3 survival and 3 birth rules. It uses `Stream.iterate` from the Java Streams API to generate the infinite sequence of boards, limiting it to 100 steps. The rendering approach prints each board via `toMultiLineString`, encoding live cells as “Ö” and dead cells as “†”.
