chord progressions
A circular chord progression viewer maps the harmonic flow of songs from a CSV file, where each column represents a chord (ch1–ch9) in a sequence. Rows are individual songs, and the visualization arranges 25 named chords (A through g#, with "?" for unrecognized) along the vertical axis. Each song is drawn as a set of curves connecting the chord positions across successive bars, creating a flowing, ribbon-like diagram. Smooth monotone-x curves transition horizontally from one chord to the next, and hover states highlight a song’s path. The chart is horizontally scrollable via drag, and lines animate in and out with a 600ms transition. The vertical position encodes chord identity, the horizontal position encodes bar number, and the curves encode chord transitions within each song, revealing recurring harmonic patterns and progressions across the dataset.
