Cars Scatter Plot

This scatter plot displays the relationship between horsepower and weight for 398 cars from the UCI Machine Learning Repository’s Auto MPG dataset. Red semi-transparent circles mark each vehicle, with axes labeled “Horsepower” and “Weight” and a title reading “Cars: Horsepower vs. Weight.” The visualization is built using D3 v5, employing scaleLinear for both axes, axisBottom and axisLeft for tick marks, and csv to load and parse the remote data file. SVG path

A single SVG path element extends dynamically from an initial point, generating a zigzag line that grows downward across a tall, scrollable canvas. Using jQuery and helper functions in JavaScript, the path’s `d` attribute is updated with random horizontal and vertical increments, creating a new line segment for each iteration. The SVG is rendered with CSS-styled stroke properties, while the code manipulates the path coordinates directly.
