Smile face in React and d3

This example renders a yellow smiley face as a static SVG graphic using React and d3. The composition combines a large yellow circle for the face, two smaller circles for eyes, and an arc path for the mouth, all centered within a 960×500 viewport. The code constructs the mouth with `d3.arc()`, using specified inner and outer radii and angular start/end points. React manages the DOM rendering through `createRoot`, while d3.v7 provides the arc generator and SVG elements are declared directly via JSX.

Face SVG

This example shows a simple face constructed from SVG circles inside an HTML page. The code uses SVG elements—a large yellow circle for the head and two smaller circles for eyes—rendered through static markup. The SVG canvas is set to 960 by 500 pixels, with the face centered and framed by a black stroke. It relies on plain CSS for page margins and overflow control, with no additional JavaScript or framework, despite the React-ready environment.

Fork of Customizing Axes

This bar chart displays the populations of the top 10 most populous countries, using 2018 estimates from the United Nations World Population Prospects. It builds on a basic bar chart example by demonstrating customized D3 axes. The visualization uses d3.csv to load data, d3.scaleLinear and d3.scaleBand for positioning, and d3.axisBottom with a custom tick format that converts values to abbreviated units like “B” for billions. The chart also removes default axis domains, adds custom axis labels, and styles text elements via CSS in an SVG rendering.
