The tree layout is generated using D3.js version 3, with `d3.layout.tree` arranging nodes and `d3.svg.diagonal` drawing the connecting links. Nodes are rendered as circles with text labels, styled using CSS classes, and the visualization is presented as static SVG with no interactive behavior. The code demonstrates a classic D3 tree diagram using inline data structures and SVG rendering.
