Data Preparation

This example demonstrates the essential first step of loading and parsing a comma-separated values (CSV) file for use in a D3.js visualization. It fetches a remote dataset of CSS named colors from a GitHub gist using the native `fetch` API, then applies `d3.csvParse` to convert the raw text into an array of JavaScript objects. The parsed result is logged to the browser console, showing how raw CSV data becomes structured, queryable data that downstream D3 code can bind to visual elements.

Smiley Face Part I

This example builds a classic smiley face using React and D3, rendering each facial feature as a separate React component. A yellow circle with a black stroke serves as the background, while two dark circles form the eyes and an SVG path generated by the `arc()` function creates the mouth. The components are positioned using SVG transforms and reusable props, with the mouth arc using `startAngle` and `endAngle` to define its curvature. The visualization demonstrates component-based SVG composition with D3's arc generator.
