This choropleth map of the USA shows the 2012 presidential election results at the county level, with counties colored by the winning candidate and shaded according to margin of victory. Built with D3 v4 and rendered as SVG, the map uses a TopoJSON file of election data (`elpo12p010g.topojson`) that includes vote counts for Obama, Romney, and other candidates, plus the winning candidate and percentage per county. The visualization uses a sequential color scale, with shades of blue for counties won by Obama and red for counties won by Romney, darker shades indicating higher winning percentages. Each county is drawn as a polygon from the TopoJSON geometry, with fill color determined by the `WINNER` and `PCT_WNR` properties.
