Selecting an axis on the parallel coordinates chart updates the chord diagram’s displayed connections via a `select` event and `setSelected` action. Both visualizations are built from a single CSV dataset using dex.js’s `dex.render` API, which constructs and wires the charts and their interaction declaratively through a JSON specification.
