A chord diagram visualizes the relationships between 37 Dutch ICT service groups, using a matrix of interaction values to draw ribbons whose thickness reflects the strength of connection between each pair. The circular layout groups nodes by name, with each arc segment proportional to its total weight. Built with D3.js v3, the code computes the chord paths and animates the diagram using the library’s force simulation. Data is provided inline as a hardcoded matrix, with Bootstrap used only for page layout and jQuery included for DOM handling, though the visualization itself relies solely on D3’s chord layout and rendering functions.
