This example displays Fabio Crameri’s scientific color maps, including Berlin and Bilbao, as full-width sequential swatches. Clicking a named button transitions the entire visualization to a different colormap. The code loads the color arrays from a local JavaScript file and renders them as SVG rectangles using D3 v5’s `d3.scaleSequential` and `d3.interpolate*` functions. Animated transitions between palettes are achieved with D3’s `transition` method, allowing users to compare the perceptual qualities of each map.
