This parallel coordinates plot compares the split times of 723 athletes at each of the eight checkpoints of the Lakeland 50 ultramarathon. Each line represents one runner, and each vertical axis shows the time taken to reach a specific checkpoint, allowing comparisons of pace and stamina across the course. Built with D3.js v4 and the d3fc extension, the chart uses `d3.brushY` to enable filtering: users can click and drag on any checkpoint axis to highlight only those runners who passed that point within a chosen time range. The underlying data is loaded from a CSV file containing cumulative finish times for each runner.
