This example visualizes the cumulative greenhouse gas emissions of the ten largest emitting countries for a given year, with a focus on the total contribution and population size. Animated bubble marks show each country’s top value while rectangular bars depict the range of cumulative emissions. Built with D3 v4, the visualization uses `d3.scaleBand` for categorical positioning, `d3.scaleLinear` for the y-axis, and interactive tooltips via d3-tip. The rendered SVG updates dynamically, hover effects transition the fill color, and the underlying data comes from a gist.
