This bookmarklet enhances the Minio browser interface for data.gouv.fr by adding a direct link to the real object URL for each file listed. It scans the file table, detects entries with file extensions, and appends a fourth column containing an anchor tag. The JavaScript uses DOM manipulation with `querySelectorAll`, `closest`, and `appendChild` to inject the links, constructing the full URL by parsing the current browser location and replacing the console hostname with the object storage endpoint.

[building-blocks](http://github.com/enjalot/building-blocks)

A bookmarklet that redirects any bl.ocks.org or gist.github.com URL to the corresponding page on blockbuilder.org. The page displays a draggable link, which users add to their bookmark bar. It uses JavaScript string replacement via `window.location` and `String.replace` to rewrite the URL, requiring no external libraries beyond the included D3 3.5.5 script, though the code does not rely on D3 for its core functionality.

D3 Bookmarklet

This example demonstrates a bookmarklet that injects D3.js into any webpage by appending a dynamically created script element to the document head. The code specifically loads D3 version 3 from the d3js.org CDN using the `document.createElement` and `document.head.appendChild` APIs. It shows how to enable D3 functionality on pages that do not already have it, making the library available for future interactions. The bookmarklet relies solely on this script injection mechanism, with no additional data or visualization logic included.

"Permalinks all the things"

This example demonstrates how to toggle between distinct French public-sector web applications by sharing a single geographic coordinate. It showcases a catalog of links that parameterize each app’s URL with the same latitude, longitude, and zoom level. The core logic is not a chart but a curated list of permalinks embedded in a Vue.js interface. The code directly references services like Géorisques, ARCEP’s fiber map, and Géoportail Urbanisme, highlighting that each site has its own URL scheme. This approach is presented as a template for adding cross-domain navigation to other public-facing tools.

Web Archive Bookmarklet Code

A one-line JavaScript bookmarklet opens the current page in the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. The code triggers `window.open` on the URL formed by concatenating `'https://web.archive.org/web/'` with the live document’s `location.href`. This example demonstrates URL string construction and the Web’s `window.open` API for navigation, with no charting or graphics libraries involved. The plain text snippet contains no data visualization logic, showing instead a minimal utility for historical page capture.

browsing tools dotjs snippets

This example shows a collection of JavaScript snippets that add keyboard and mouse shortcuts to specific websites, such as Forrst and Dribbble. It demonstrates how jQuery is used to bind click handlers to page elements, triggering navigation to the next paginated page, and how a custom keydown handler detects the Control key to open a Dribbble shot in a new window. The code relies on jQuery selectors and CSS properties to identify active elements, and it uses `document.location` for redirection. The snippets are designed for the dotjs browser extension, which injects user scripts into matching sites.

Fork of HTML Starter

This example demonstrates a bookmark navigation system within a single HTML page. It presents a section of user information with anchor links at the top that jump to specific data points, including a name, address, and phone number. The page uses raw HTML anchor tags (`<a>`) with `href="#..."` attributes to create the internal links, while a `[TOP]` link returns the user to the header. The content is styled with a simple embedded CSS rule for centering text and a basic `<header>`, `<section>`, and `<article>` layout.

Un peu laxiste sur les droits

This example demonstrates how an FTP directory from the French IGN geospatial agency can be served over HTTPS by mounting it as a local filesystem. The visualization shows a browsable file listing generated by an Nginx `autoindex` directive, which exposes the contents of a `curlftpfs`-mounted remote FTP server. The code relies on `curlftpfs` to mount the FTP source (`ftp://Iris_GE_ext:…@ftp3.ign.fr`) with `allow_other` and permissive permissions, and on Nginx’s `alias` and `autoindex` to render the directory tree. The interface lists downloadable geospatial datasets (e.g., IRIS-GE shapefiles) without requiring users to install an FTP client.

This example tracks the availability and licensing of the French IGN’s BD TOPO® departmental datasets by organizing URLs for both December 2021 and March 2021 releases. It shows a structured index of geographic data files, with each entry linking to a specific departmental Shapefile resource. The visualization uses a data-driven list format, likely rendered with JavaScript’s `fetch` to parse the provided CSV or JSON and display the sorted URLs. It highlights the variation in resource IDs across departments and time periods, emphasizing the dataset’s scope without mapping or spatial rendering.
