This example visualizes the distribution of hair and eye colors in a dataset of 16 individuals, grouped by eye color and displayed as a multi-bar chart. The chart, built with the NVD3 library and D3 v2, renders animated SVG bars that transition over 500 milliseconds when loaded. Data is nested using `d3.nest()` to group records by the “Eye” attribute, and the chart is configured with NVD3’s `multiBarChart` model, which handles the x-axis (hair color) and y-axis (frequency) mappings. The visualization is embedded in an HTML page with jQuery for initialization.
