This visualization displays protein mutations along the APC protein sequence, mapping each mutation to its amino acid position and type. Mutations are rendered as colored circles, with colors distinguishing mutation types like missense, frameshift, and splice site, while colored rectangles represent Pfam domains. The SVG chart, built with D3.js version 3, includes an interactive tooltip for inspecting mutation details and sample identifiers. Data comes from TCGA tumor samples, and mutation and domain information is loaded from a JSON file. The code also animates the visualization using D3's data binding and transition methods.
