Times Writer David Von Drehle explains in his Time Magazine piece Time Magazine piece why the United States may be reaching the end of the death penalty. Human Rights organization such as Amnesty International Amnesty International explains that the death penalty is the ultimate, irreversible denial of human rights (Dah). When will this stupid thinking finally end is based on an ideaology that a life can be taken in the name of justice, for the sake of the victim's family or intimidation?
It is a procedure so ancient, terrible and inhuman that maybe even previous generations long ago would have their trouble now to make sense of it (and aren’t we such a highly developed society - apparently not). And what’s worst, it doesn’t change a thing.

It can't bring back any killed or destroyed lives, it's expensive, and if one makes a mistake (event its just one person wrongly committed), the justice system is simple not credible anymore. Neither can it make people think twice about their indented crimes indented crimes. To the headline-question from the CNN piece ("Does death penalty bring closure?"), my answer and many other intellectuals too is NO. If you have a bit of brain and think about it as a human being with compassion for others, you will see that it just doesn’t fucking work!
