US Map of Nielsen Media Markets
This interactive map of U.S. Nielsen media markets shows each designated marketing area (DMA) as a colored SVG polygon, with a choropleth scale mapping yellow to green based on Nielsen rank. Hovering over a region turns it orange and displays a text box with market name, TV home count, cable percentage, and rank. The visualization uses D3 v3 with `d3.geo.albersUsa` and `d3.geo.path` to project TopoJSON boundaries, and merges that geometry with household data from a separate JSON file. County borders are drawn using a TopoJSON mesh.

###Credits
- Map adapted from Mike Bostock's map example
- Topojson made by converting shapefile from here to topojson via Mike Bostock's instructions
- Nielsen rank and TV data via tvb
###Notes
- Some areas are shaped really strangely (such as a slice of Nevada being part of the Denver media market) but that is really how they are divided
