This radial dendrogram visualizes the hierarchical structure of countries grouped by continent and subregion, with each node labeled by name. The visualization uses D3 v4's `d3.cluster` layout to position nodes in a circular arrangement, and `d3.zoom` enables panning and scaling. Text size decreases with depth, and leaves are rotated and anchored to improve readability. The tree is rendered as SVG paths, with data sourced from a 'countryHierarchy.json' file based on United Nations place hierarchy data.

World Countries Hierarchy

This radial dendrogram visualizes the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. The visualization uses a circular tree layout, with the world at the center and branches extending outward to represent geographic groupings. Country names appear as leaf nodes, with text rotated to follow the radial lines. The code implements this using D3.js v5 APIs, including `d3.cluster` for the tree layout, `d3.linkRadial` for path generation, and `d3.hierarchy` for processing the nested JSON data.

World Countries Hierarchy

This visualization displays a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, using a radial dendrogram layout. The D3.js code loads a JSON dataset and applies `d3.cluster()` and `d3.linkRadial()` to position nodes and draw curved links. Country names are rendered as rotated text labels, with font sizes scaled by tree depth via `d3.scaleSqrt()`. The visualization includes zoom and pan functionality through `d3.zoom()`, with styling applied via custom CSS for path strokes and text shadows. The rendering uses SVG elements within a fixed full-screen viewport.

Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree shows the hierarchical structure of countries grouped by continent and subregion, with the root node "World" at the center. It renders a clustered dendrogram using D3 v4’s `d3.cluster` layout, drawing curved SVG paths for links and text labels for each node. The visualization supports zooming and panning via `d3.zoom`, and adjusts label size and rotation based on depth and angle. Data is loaded from a JSON file representing the geographic hierarchy.

Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. The graphic uses a circular layout where the root node "World" sits at the center, with continents, subregions, and individual countries radiating outward as labeled branches. The D3.js v4 code employs the `d3.cluster()` layout algorithm to position nodes in a radial pattern, with curved links connecting parent and child nodes. Interactive panning and zooming are implemented using `d3.zoom()`, while text labels are dynamically rotated and positioned based on node depth and angle. The visualization reads hierarchical data from a JSON file containing the UN country classification system.

Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, with leaf nodes representing individual nations. The D3 v4 `d3.cluster` layout positions nodes in a circular arrangement, while SVG paths connect parent and child nodes. Nodes are labeled with country names whose font size scales with depth using a `d3.scaleSqrt`. Panning and zooming are enabled through `d3.zoom`, and the data comes from the embedded `data.json` file.

World Countries Tree

This visualization presents the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, as a radial-style tree diagram. It renders the data as a horizontally oriented tree using SVG paths and text labels, with node positions computed by the `tree()` layout and `hierarchy()` functions from D3 v5. The visualization supports pan and zoom interactions through the `zoom()` behavior. Text labels display country names with font size decreasing by depth, and the data is loaded from a local JSON file.
