This visualization shows the number of media mentions using a map of Spain overlaid with a network graph. It displays the data through a Google Fusion Tables embed, which renders a geographic chart with connected nodes. The visualization uses the Fusion Tables API to query and display the underlying dataset, which contains columns for location and mention counts. The iframe integration loads the interactive map directly into the page, allowing viewers to see the distribution and relationships of media mentions across regions. The rendering relies on Google's embedded visualization tools rather than custom JavaScript libraries.

mapa España

This interactive choropleth map of Spain displays the percentage of the population served by health sectors in Aragon for 2022, with colored regions representing value ranges and a legend for interpretation. The visualization uses D3 v5 with topojson to load geographic boundaries, applies a Mercator projection through `d3.geoMercator` and `d3.geoPath`, and renders the map as an SVG. Data is parsed from a CSV file hosted on GitHub, containing population counts per sector, which are converted into percentage values. The map includes animations and dynamic color scaling via `d3.scaleThreshold`, with interactivity for selecting regions.

Gist 6245338

This visualization maps three Spanish cities as individual points on a geographic projection, with each point represented by a small dot. It uses a custom map projection and renders the GeoJSON features as a filled landmass, while the city markers are drawn as circles. The code relies on `d3.geoPath` to project and draw the map geometry, and `d3.forceSimulation` is not used here; instead, the points are placed directly at their projected coordinates. The canvas API (`getContext('2d')`) handles all rendering, and the map’s geographic boundaries come from the embedded `map.geojson` FeatureCollection.

cantidad de alumnos por comuna

This visualization displays the number of students per commune in a bar chart embedded via an iframe. The chart is rendered by Datawrapper, using its hosted charting service, and is loaded through a Datawrapper iframe script that dynamically adjusts the chart’s height. The HTML relies on the Datawrapper API to render the bars, with the embedded code specifying the chart ID "BSxfw". The page itself contains no custom JavaScript or data-processing libraries; the visualization is entirely generated and styled by Datawrapper’s server-side rendering.

Visualización de Datos

A horizontal bar chart presents June polling data from the Spanish barometer, showing vote shares for four political parties as colored bars of varying widths labeled with party names. The visualization uses plain HTML `div` elements with inline CSS `width` properties and background colors to encode the values, while an `h1` heading identifies the dataset. The code loads D3 v4 from a CDN but does not employ any D3-specific data binding or scale functions, instead relying entirely on static markup and styling within a flex-like layout. The source is embedded directly in the page structure.

datos del mom w44/2020

The visualization maps internet penetration rates across countries for week 44 of 2020, with each country’s gap between internet and mobile access encoded by dot size and color, grouped by continent. It uses a scatterplot layout where x-axis represents internet usage and y-axis represents the mobile gap, with points colored by continent. The chart is rendered with D3.js, employing `d3.forceSimulation` to position overlapping labels and `d3.scalePoint` for axis mapping, while data comes from a gist by aaizemberg. Hovering reveals exact values, and the continent legend clarifies regional patterns.

Las noticias del día - GoogleNews - Flourish

This example displays a daily news visualization titled “Las noticias del día” using a Flourish embed, which renders an interactive chart of Google News headlines. The page loads a pre-built Flourish visualization via the `flourish-embed` script, pulling data from a hosted gist by author aaizemberg. The visualization itself is generated by Flourish’s internal rendering engine, which typically relies on D3.js for layout and transitions, though the code here only exposes the embed API and does not directly call specific functions like `d3.forceSimulation` or `d3.geoPath`. The data source is the external gist, and the rendering approach is entirely delegated to Flourish’s cloud-based service.

Gist cb853c154b8bb2343561

This visualization maps Barcelona’s neighborhood demographics across multiple years, contrasting population age brackets with a family income index (where the city average equals 100). It renders each district as a choropleth, using color intensity to represent income disparities, and likely employs discrete legends for each year. The code uses D3.js for geospatial paths and data binding, with an interactive year selector to toggle between 2008 and 2009 datasets. The data originates from a CSV file, parsed and joined to the geographic boundaries for display.

Bar Chart, Framed

This visualization shows unemployment rates in Spain from 2005 to 2015, breaking down data by autonomous community and province. Two views are available: a bar chart displaying the unemployment rate for 2015 and an area chart depicting the total number of long-term unemployed over time. The bar chart sorts regions by rate and uses interactive hover effects to highlight values. The visualization uses the D3.js library for rendering and animation, with data processed from raw INE microdata via R using the dplyr and tidyr packages.
