This example shows the regional population distribution of five regions using a classic pie chart. The visualization displays each region as a colored slice of the pie, with labels placed at each slice’s centroid and a separate legend listing all regions. The code loads population data from a CSV file and uses D3 v7’s `d3.pie()` and `d3.arc()` functions to generate the chart. It applies a Tableau10 ordinal color scale for slice fills and renders the result as SVG, with white strokes between slices for clarity.
