This example shows a bar chart of the top 10 countries by 2020 population, with each bar rendered as an SVG `<rect>` element. The bar lengths are scaled using `d3.scaleLinear`, while the country names are positioned along the y-axis using `d3.scaleBand`. Data is loaded via `d3.csv` from a remote gist and sorted in descending order. The visualization is built with React components, using React hooks like `useState` and `useEffect` to manage the asynchronous data loading and state. Additional unused face and pie chart components are also included in the project.
