World Population (Sample) — Choropleth

Built with D3 v7, TopoJSON v3, and world-atlas@2.

This demo shows how to draw a world map from TopoJSON and join it with a small CSV of values. The CSV can be replaced with your own dataset (e.g., crime rate, GDP, etc.).

Data join keys: country name. Uses countries-110m.json and a helper TSV with id↔name mapping.

How to use

  1. Open this file in VizHub or any static server.
  2. Replace the inline CSV (populationCSV) with your own dataset. Keep a column named name that matches country names.
  3. Adjust the color scale or tooltip as needed.
