This example shows a simple cat face constructed from basic SVG shapes, including circles for the ears, head, eyes, and nose, and lines for whiskers. It renders directly in the browser using SVG elements with inline styling and percentage-based coordinates for positioning. The code demonstrates fundamental SVG concepts like shape elements, fill colors, and stroke attributes, all within a static HTML page that uses no external JavaScript libraries or data sources.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates how to construct a simple face using basic SVG shapes. It shows a circle as the head, with paths for eyebrows, small circles for eyes, an ellipse for a mouth, and lines for whiskers. The code directly uses raw SVG elements including `<circle>`, `<path>`, `<ellipse>`, and `<line>`, with absolute coordinates and stroke styling. No JavaScript libraries or data sources are involved; the visualization relies solely on static SVG markup rendered inline in the HTML.

SVG Fundamentals

This example showcases fundamental SVG shapes—a circle, rectangle, and line—rendered directly in an HTML page. The code demonstrates basic SVG attributes like coordinates, dimensions, fill color, stroke, and stroke-width. It uses plain SVG markup within the HTML structure, with no external libraries or JavaScript. The rendering approach is purely static, defining a 960x500 canvas where each shape is positioned and styled to illustrate core vector graphics concepts.

SVG Fundamentals

This example illustrates fundamental SVG shapes and rendering using raw SVG markup in an HTML page. It shows primitive geometric elements including circles, a rectangle, and a path, with varied presentations like colored fills, strokes, and stroke widths. The code uses no external libraries or frameworks, relying purely on SVG’s native elements (`<circle>`, `<rect>`, `<path>`) and CSS attributes. The fixed 960x500 viewport and hardcoded coordinates in the markup demonstrate a static, hand-coded approach to constructing vector graphics without data binding or interactivity.

SVG Fundamentals

A plain HTML page demonstrates SVG fundamentals by rendering basic shapes—a circle, rectangle, line, path, and text—directly in an inline `<svg>` element with hardcoded coordinates and attributes. CSS styles the page title and text elements, while each shape uses SVG presentation attributes like `fill`, `stroke`, and `stroke-width` to define colors and outlines. The example does not use any JavaScript libraries or data sources, relying solely on static SVG markup and CSS for its visual output.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates the fundamental SVG shapes—a circle, a rectangle, a line, and a path—arranged in a static composition on a 960 by 500 canvas. It shows how to apply basic styling attributes, including fill colors, stroke colors, and stroke widths directly in the markup. The code uses raw SVG elements within an HTML file, using only native browser rendering without any external libraries or JavaScript. The rendering approach is entirely declarative, with each shape’s geometry and appearance defined by its attributes.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates the fundamental building blocks of SVG graphics, including basic shapes, coordinate systems, and styling attributes. The code initializes an empty HTML page with an SVG structure, using plain JavaScript and CSS to render geometric elements. It does not load any external data or use advanced visualization libraries, instead showing how to construct and manipulate SVG elements directly. The rendering approach focuses on defining shapes inline within the SVG namespace, providing a hands-on introduction to the syntax and capabilities of the SVG format.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates fundamental SVG shape elements rendered directly in a browser. It shows circles, a rectangle with a stroke, a line, and a path, each with explicit coordinates and styling attributes. The visualization uses raw SVG markup within an HTML page, specifying properties like fill, stroke, and stroke-width inline. No JavaScript or external libraries are involved, relying solely on the SVG API to display static vector graphics on a 960 by 500 canvas.
