This SVG chart renders a generative art piece inspired by Sol LeWitt’s vertical line works, using a loop to place 100 black circles in a repeating pattern. The JavaScript creates circles via the `document.createElementNS` API, positioning each with an `cx` of 50-pixel increments and a `cy` that iterates from 0 to 99 per column. The result forms a dense vertical grid, with the circles overlapping slightly to create a rhythmic, striped texture. The code uses basic SVG primitives directly in the browser, with no external libraries, and scales to the full window dimensions.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece by rendering intersecting horizontal and vertical lines on an SVG canvas. A central circle is isolated through two SVG masks, creating a geometric interplay where line patterns alternate between appearing within and outside the circular boundary. The code uses vanilla JavaScript with the SVG DOM API, generating 100 rectangle elements per axis and applying masks (`circle-mask` and `circle-mask-2`) to control visibility. The result mirrors LeWitt’s systematic, rule-based aesthetic without external libraries.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece using an SVG rendering approach. The visualization displays a grid of horizontal and vertical lines that are masked to create concentric circular patterns at the center of the viewport. The code dynamically generates 100 rectangular strips for each orientation, using inline SVG mask elements to clip the lines into the circular shapes. The piece runs entirely with native JavaScript DOM manipulation, creating the `svg`, `rect`, `mask`, and `circle` elements without external libraries.

Fork of Fork of Fork of Sol Levitt Vertical

This generative art piece recreates a Sol LeWitt-inspired wall drawing using only SVG shapes. It shows a grid of horizontal and vertical black stripes confined to a central circular area. The code builds two SVG masks: one cuts a hole in a black circle, while the other inverts it, so overlapping stripes are visible only within the ring. The stripes are generated with JavaScript loops, each rect targeted to a specific mask via `url(#circle-mask)`. The artwork adapts to the browser window dimensions.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction Vertical

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-style geometric composition, displaying a single large circle centered on a blank, full-window canvas. The artwork uses a vertical orientation, with the circle’s radius fixed at 100 units and its height set to match the window’s height. The code creates an SVG element via the standard DOM API, appending it to the document body without any external libraries or data sources. The piece focuses on the minimal, algorithmic aesthetic of LeWitt’s wall drawings, rendered purely through JavaScript and raw SVG creation.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization shows a geometric composition of thin horizontal and vertical lines forming a cruciform pattern, with darker bands where the strokes overlap. It uses a circular mask to hide line ends, creating a clean, clipped boundary around the central region. The code builds the SVG structure entirely with JavaScript APIs, including `document.createElementNS` and `setAttribute`, and applies two SVG masks (`circle-mask` and `circle-mask-2`) to alternate the visibility of the two line sets. The work is an algorithmic reproduction of a Sol LeWitt drawing, driven purely by nested loops and hard-coded dimensions.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This generative art piece reproduces a Sol LeWitt wall drawing using pure JavaScript and the SVG API. It displays a grid of alternating horizontal and vertical stripes that intersect within central circular masks, creating a layered geometric pattern. The code constructs an SVG canvas with two circle masks—one revealing horizontal bars, the other vertical bars—overlaid to produce the final composition. No external libraries are used; all elements are created dynamically via `document.createElementNS` and styled with inline attributes.
