This example showcases a minimal HTML page with a single SVG rectangle rotated 180 degrees, set against a large centered text layout. It reads population data from a CSV file using D3’s `d3.csv`, logging the parsed array to the browser console. The rendering approach relies on static SVG elements defined directly in the markup, with no dynamic data binding or visualization logic applied. The project serves as a bare-bones starting point for understanding basic file structure and data loading in a React-free environment.

This example presents a minimal HTML page using React and SVG, loading a CSV dataset of country populations via D3. The code selects an SVG element and asynchronously parses `data.csv` with `csv()`, converting population values to numbers. It logs the processed data to the console but does not yet render any visual marks. The starter serves as a barebones template for further visualization development.

A bare HTML page with a single SVG element is the foundation of this starter example. The JavaScript uses D3's `select`, `csv`, `scaleLinear`, `max`, and `scaleBand` functions to load population data for 22 countries from `data.csv`. The chart is intended to render horizontal bars with country names on the y-axis and population on a linear scale, though the current code only appends static 300-pixel squares. The example demonstrates a minimal D3 setup within a React environment, serving as a template for more complex visualizations.

This example presents a minimal HTML page with a centered large-font body and an empty SVG element, demonstrating the simplest possible setup for a data visualization. It uses no external libraries beyond the implicit inclusion of D3’s `select` function in `index.js`, which is not called in the visible code. The page’s rendering approach relies solely on inline CSS and an `<svg>` tag, serving as a blank canvas for future visual work. It is a starting point referenced from a separate React Starter.

This example presents a bare-minimum HTML page as a starting point for data visualization projects. It loads a CSV file containing country population data but only logs the parsed data to the browser console. The page uses an SVG element and the D3.js library, specifically the `csv` and `select` functions, to read and access the data.

This example shows a minimal HTML page displaying the text “hello svg” above an empty SVG canvas. The code uses D3 v5 loaded from a CDN, along with basic CSS styling and SVG elements. It demonstrates the simplest possible setup for a data visualization with React and D3, serving as a starting point for more complex projects. The SVG element is sized at 800 by 640 pixels, providing space for future visual content.

This example demonstrates a bare-bones HTML page that uses JavaScript to load and display data from a CSV file. The page renders a blank SVG canvas, and the code uses the `d3.csv` API to fetch `data.csv`, which contains date, sent, and received values. While the data is parsed and the `render` function is called, the example does not define any marks or encodings, so the visualization itself shows no graphical output. It serves as a minimal starting point for building D3-based React or HTML projects.

This example displays a blank HTML page centered with the text size set to 13em, serving as a minimal template for web visualization projects. It loads a CSV dataset containing country names and population figures from 2016, then logs the parsed data to the browser console using d3.csv. The visualization uses D3’s selection API, d3.select, to target the SVG element, though no rendering occurs—the code focuses solely on demonstrating data fetching and parsing in a React-compatible setup.

This example demonstrates a minimal HTML page that uses D3 v6 to render a single blue rectangle onto an SVG canvas within a React-based project structure. The page includes embedded CSS that centers and enlarges body text, while a script appends an SVG element with fixed 500x500 dimensions, then selects and appends a rectangle with hardcoded position and size attributes. The code also logs a message to the browser console and serves as a bare-bones starting point for visualization development.
