World Happiness Scores by Population
This visualization maps world happiness scores by population, with each country represented by a circle whose area is proportional to its population and whose color encodes its happiness score. Hovering reveals the country name and score, while clicking and pan/zoom allows closer inspection. Built with D3 v5, it uses d3.geoNaturalEarth1 and d3.geoPath for map rendering, d3.scaleSqrt for circle sizing, d3.scaleSequential with interpolateInferno for color, and d3.zoom for interaction. Data comes from the World Happiness Report, processed from CSV and TopoJSON sources.

A country’s overall happiness score is a composite of different factors collected in an annual worldwide survey, including:
GDP per capita School years Sustainable economic development Employement Rate Health expenditure Government effectiveness Female MPS Control of corruption
What factors contributes to happiness for different countries is interesting. For example more school years increases happiness in certain countries, it's probably correlated with more salaries when a person studies more. I need to create another visual to show the relationship between each factors for each country.
