Red ellipses on a red background, with several darker circles and white pixel-styled letters, form a simple abstract composition. This example demonstrates fundamental SVG shape drawing with D3 version 7, where the `select` function from the `d3` module updates the page text. The markup uses static SVG elements like `rect`, `ellipse`, and `text`, styled via CSS with the Pixelify Sans font. Rendering occurs directly in the browser through inline SVG, with no data binding or dynamic behavior beyond the initial text update.

Diego's SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates fundamental SVG shapes, including overlapping red and green circles, a navy line, and multiple `<path>` elements with fills and strokes. The markup defines an inline SVG canvas at 960×500 pixels, using basic shape elements like `circle`, `line`, and `path` with attributes for coordinates, colors, and stroke widths. The code shows a commented-out `rect` example and relies entirely on raw SVG syntax without any JavaScript libraries or data sources, illustrating static vector graphic construction directly in the HTML.

Three circles of different colors and sizes on a blank SVG canvas demonstrate the basics of SVG markup. The example shows how to draw and position shapes directly in HTML without any JavaScript interaction. The page uses D3 version 6 and includes inline SVG elements: two red circles and one black circle, each with explicit `cx`, `cy`, and `r` attributes. The accompanying `index.js` imports the `select` function from D3 and writes text to the page body.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates the core building blocks of SVG graphics, showing how basic shapes combine to form a static vector illustration. It features a red circle, a blue rectangle, a thick navy diagonal line, and an open path that creates a two-segment angular stroke on a 960x500 canvas. The code uses raw SVG elements—`circle`, `rect`, `line`, and `path`—defined directly in an `index.html` file without any JavaScript library. Each shape is styled via presentation attributes like `fill`, `stroke`, and `stroke-width`, while a comment in Spanish notes the markup. This is a pure, hand-authored SVG example, with no external data source.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates basic SVG shapes directly in HTML, showing how circles, rectangles, and lines render with stroke, fill, and thickness properties. A red-outlined circle appears next to a filled red circle with a black border, while a blue-bordered white rectangle and a thin diagonal line complete the composition. The visualization uses raw SVG elements within a 500x500 canvas, relying on the browser’s built-in SVG rendering API rather than a JavaScript library like D3. The shapes are static, with no data binding or interaction, serving purely as a primer for SVG’s coordinate system and attribute syntax.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates basic SVG shape rendering and text output within a web page. It draws red and green circles, a yellow rectangle with a blue stroke, and an invalid triangle element, all inside a 960x500 SVG canvas. The code uses D3 version 7's `select` API to set the body text to "Hello D3 version 7." The visualization is pure SVG markup defined in static HTML, with no data source or dynamic interaction.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates fundamental SVG shapes, including circles, rectangles, lines, and complex paths, rendered directly in an HTML document. It shows how static SVG elements can be styled with attributes like fill color, stroke, and stroke-width to create basic geometric compositions. The code uses no JavaScript for visualization logic, but includes a minimal `index.js` that imports `select` from D3 version 7 and sets text content on the page body. The raw SVG markup is authored manually, with all shapes defined inline in the HTML.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates foundational techniques for creating vector graphics using native SVG elements embedded in HTML. The page displays a grid of alternating blue and red rectangles, overlaid with white, blue, and red circles, and a large red stroked circle, all constructed with explicit SVG tags. The code uses CSS to define a transition effect on rectangle elements, which animates their properties, and a hover rule that is invalidly written with an equals sign instead of a colon. The rendering is fully client-side through the SVG specification, with no external JavaScript libraries involved.

SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates fundamental SVG shape elements, including rectangles, circles, lines, and paths, using static coordinates and styling attributes. It showcases basic D3 version 7 usage via `select` from the `d3` module to set the body text. The visualization is rendered directly in the browser through an inline SVG element with a width of 960 and height of 500, featuring shapes such as a blue outlined rectangle, red and default-colored circles, a yellow rectangle with a navy stroke, a diagonal line, and a black polyline path. The code also embeds an introductory video and README explaining D3 version 6.
