Forked from Art Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion. The tree layout displays the geographic classification hierarchy, with the root node "World" branching into continents like Asia, then into regional groupings such as Southern Asia, and finally into individual countries. The code uses d3.json to load the data, d3.hierarchy to construct the tree structure, and d3.tree with linkHorizontal to render the SVG paths connecting parent and child nodes.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion. It uses a horizontal tree layout with D3.js v5, rendering SVG elements for both links and text labels. The code applies D3's `tree()`, `hierarchy()`, `linkHorizontal()`, and `zoom()` APIs to construct the layout and enable interactive panning and zooming. The underlying data comes from a JSON file containing nested country and region names.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion using a vertical tree layout. The root node, "World," branches into continents like Asia, which then subdivides into regional groups such as "Southern Asia" and individual country leaf nodes. The SVG rendering connects parent and child nodes with black, stroke-only paths generated by the `linkVertical` function, while the `tree` layout algorithm from D3 v5 positions the nodes spatially. Data is loaded from a JSON file via D3's `json` method, and the hierarchy is built using the `hierarchy` API.

World Countries Tree

This example visualizes the hierarchical structure of world countries, grouped by continent and subregion, as a tree diagram. The layout uses d3.tree and d3.hierarchy to compute node positions, while d3.linkHorizontal generates the curved paths connecting parent and child nodes. The data is loaded from a JSON file and rendered as SVG paths on the full viewport.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organizing them by continent and subregion into a horizontal tree layout. The root node, "World," branches into continents like Asia, which further divide into subregions and individual countries. The SVG rendering uses D3.js v5’s `d3.tree`, `d3.hierarchy`, `d3.linkHorizontal`, and a zoom interaction via `d3.zoom` to navigate the large dataset. Node labels are positioned with dynamic font sizes based on depth, and the data loads asynchronously from a JSON file.

World Countries Tree

This interactive visualization displays the hierarchical organization of world countries, grouped by continent and subregion, using a tree layout that branches from a central root. The code constructs the tree structure from JSON data with `d3.hierarchy` and positions nodes using `d3.tree`, rendering curved vertical links with `d3.linkVertical` and labels as SVG text elements. Each country appears as a labeled point, with the tree expanding downward to reveal the nested geographic groupings.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, as a horizontal tree diagram. The root node represents the data source, with branches expanding outward to reveal geographic groupings and individual countries. The code uses D3.js v5, implementing a tree layout with `d3.tree()` and `d3.hierarchy()` to process hierarchical JSON data. Nodes are rendered as SVG text elements connected by horizontal links generated with `d3.linkHorizontal()`, and the entire visualization supports pan and zoom through D3’s zoom behavior.

World Countries Tree

This visualization presents the hierarchical structure of world countries as a tree diagram. Using a JSON dataset, it organizes countries by continent and subregion, such as Asia and Southern Asia. The code builds the layout with D3's `tree` and `hierarchy` functions, then renders the connections as horizontal links using `linkHorizontal` and `select` from D3. The result is an SVG graphic, with black paths representing the parent-child relationships between geographic entities.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion, rendered as a horizontal tree layout. The code uses D3’s `tree()` layout with `linkHorizontal` for curved links, and applies `zoom()` for panning and scaling. Text labels scale in font size based on depth, with the root at the top. The data comes from a static JSON file with nested nodes representing regions and countries.
