Forked from Fork of Fork of Family Tree of plants

This visualization presents an interactive hierarchical tree of the animal kingdom, showing the classification from "Animals" down through vertebrates and invertebrates to specific groups like Mammals, Birds, Fish, and Amphibians. Built with D3.js v3, it renders nodes as colored rectangles connected by animated SVG links, with each node color-coded by its hierarchical level (type1 through type4). The layout uses `d3.layout.tree` with zoom and drag behaviors, and includes tooltips and click interactions to expand or collapse subtrees. Data comes from a JSON file structured with nested children arrays.

Fork of Fork of Family Tree of plants

This interactive tree diagram visualizes a hierarchical classification of animals, using color-coded nodes to distinguish four taxonomic levels. Built with D3.js v3 and SVG, the visualization loads data from a JSON file and supports zooming, panning, and click-to-expand interactions. The layout is computed with `d3.layout.tree`, while link text and custom tooltips display additional details. Animated node transitions and CSS-styled elements enhance readability, though the dataset contains an inconsistent label referencing “plants” within the cold-blooded branch.

Fork of Family Tree of plants

This visualization arranges plant taxonomy into an interactive, animated tree diagram, using colored, rounded rectangles to represent different classification levels from “plants” down to specific groups like “tulips” and “flowers.” Built with D3.js v3, the layout is computed via `d3.layout.tree`, while SVG elements are manipulated with `d3.select` and standard zoom/pan behaviors. Node colors are assigned by type, and tooltips plus click-to-collapse interactions are included; the diagram loads hierarchical JSON data containing names, links, and direction attributes, with rendering handled primarily through SVG groups, foreignObject for text, and CSS-defined arrow and link styling.

Fork of Animal Classification Family Tree

This interactive tree diagram visualizes a hierarchical animal classification system, with branching categories like vertebrates and invertebrates expanding into specific classes such as mammals, birds, and arthropods. The visualization uses an animated SVG layout via D3 version 3.5, where nodes can be clicked to collapse or expand child branches. Node colors are determined by level—black for the root, pink for major divisions, brown for subgroups, and green for leaf species—while the data is embedded directly in the code as a JSON-style array. The implementation relies on `d3.layout.tree` and `d3.svg.diagonal` to render the curved links and responsive structure.

Fork of Family Tree

A fork of a family tree example demonstrates a hierarchical animal classification using a tree layout with animated SVG circles and links. The visualization shows categories like Herbivorous, Carnivorous, and Omnivorous branching into specific animals, with circle colors indicating generation depth. Built with D3.js v6, the code uses `d3.stratify()` to convert flat data into a hierarchy, `d3.tree()` to compute positions, and `transition()` to animate link paths and circle radii over durations. Node labels appear as bold white text, and all elements are centered within the viewport.

Fork of Tree Example

This interactive tree diagram visualizes the hierarchical relationships between animal families, genera, and species, with colored nodes representing taxonomic levels. Built with the D3.js library, the layout uses a custom tree layout algorithm and diagonal edges to connect parent and child nodes, with nodes and links animating into place when the visualization loads. The SVG-based rendering uses hardcoded JSON data that includes scientific names and color-coded nodes to distinguish families, genera, and species.

Fork of Family Tree ICE-8

This interactive tree visualization displays hierarchical relationships among animal groups, using colored, rectangular nodes linked by directional arrows. The diagram organizes data from a JSON file into a branching structure rooted at "Animals," with categories like Vertebrates and Invertebrates. Rendered as an SVG using D3.js version 3, the visualization applies a tree layout and supports user interaction through zooming and dragging. The code uses `d3.layout.tree` to compute node positioning, and animates nodes with transitions, highlighting links and tooltips on hover.

Fork of tree test

This interactive visualization displays a hierarchical tree of animal classifications, from "Animals" down to species like "Tiger" and "Snake." It uses the D3.js library with the `d3.layout.tree` and `d3.svg.diagonal` APIs to position nodes and draw links. Users can click on nodes to expand or collapse their children, with animated transitions handled by D3's `.transition().duration()`. SVG circles represent nodes, styled with a yellow fill and black stroke, while orange paths depict the connecting links.

Fork of Fork of Family Tree ICE-8

This interactive family-tree visualization uses D3.js v3 with an animated, expandable node-link diagram. It displays a hierarchical dataset of animal classifications and family member names, rendered as colored rectangles connected by curved links. The tree layout algorithm, `d3.layout.tree`, computes node positions, while custom SVG elements and CSS styling via `tree-boxes.css` create the visual presentation. The implementation includes zoom and drag behavior, tooltips, and collision detection to manage overlapping nodes.
