This example demonstrates mouse event handling with D3 v5 in an SVG rendering. The code appends a red circle inside each square div and toggles the background color between steelblue and orange on mouseout and mouseover events using d3.select and the .on method. It also logs d3.event and d3.mouse(this) to the console to expose pointer coordinates during interaction.
