Forked from Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical relationships between world countries, organized by continent and subregion. The visualization uses a circular layout where nodes are positioned on concentric rings based on their depth in the hierarchy, with country names placed at the outermost level. Panning and zooming interactions are enabled through the `d3.zoom` API, allowing users to explore the full hierarchy. The visualization is rendered using SVG with D3 v4's `d3.hierarchy` and `d3.cluster` modules, and text styling is applied via the Open Sans font. Curved links connect parent and child nodes, with label rotation and positioning adjusted based on each node's radial location.

Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical relationship of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, with the root node "World" at the center. The layout uses D3's `d3.cluster` to position nodes radially, and SVG paths connect parent and child nodes with curved links. Text labels show country and region names, with font sizes scaled according to depth using `d3.scaleSqrt`. Users can pan and zoom the entire visualization via `d3.zoom`, which applies an SVG transform to the containing group. Data is loaded from a local JSON file.

Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. Built with d3.v4, it uses the d3.cluster layout to position nodes in a circular arrangement, with SVG paths connecting parent and child nodes. The visualization supports panning and zooming interactions through d3.zoom, and text labels are rotated and sized based on their depth within the hierarchy, with the data sourced from a nested JSON file.

Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. The graphic uses a circular layout where the root node "World" sits at the center, with continents, subregions, and individual countries radiating outward as labeled branches. The D3.js v4 code employs the `d3.cluster()` layout algorithm to position nodes in a radial pattern, with curved links connecting parent and child nodes. Interactive panning and zooming are implemented using `d3.zoom()`, while text labels are dynamically rotated and positioned based on node depth and angle. The visualization reads hierarchical data from a JSON file containing the UN country classification system.

Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy Example

A radial tree visualization displays the hierarchy of world countries organized by continent and subregion. Built with D3 v4, it uses the `d3.cluster` layout and custom projection functions to position nodes in a circular arrangement. The visualization supports panning and zooming via `d3.zoom`, with interactive transforms applied to the SVG group. Node labels vary in font size based on depth, and curved paths connect parent-child relationships. The data comes from a local JSON file structured around geographic regions.

Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, with leaf nodes representing individual nations. The D3 v4 `d3.cluster` layout positions nodes in a circular arrangement, while SVG paths connect parent and child nodes. Nodes are labeled with country names whose font size scales with depth using a `d3.scaleSqrt`. Panning and zooming are enabled through `d3.zoom`, and the data comes from the embedded `data.json` file.

Fork of Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. It uses a circular layout where leaf nodes representing individual countries are positioned at the outer ring, with intermediate labels for continents and regions shown with larger fonts. The visualization supports interactive panning and zooming through the `d3.zoom` API, which updates an SVG group’s transform based on user gestures. The tree layout is computed using `d3.hierarchy` and `d3.cluster`, with links drawn via cubic Bézier curves and text labels rotated to follow the radial orientation. Data comes from a local JSON file (`data.json`) containing the full country hierarchy.
