This tree diagram displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent (Asia, Africa, etc.) and region (Southern Asia, Western Asia, etc.), down to individual country names. The visualization uses a horizontal tree layout generated by the d3.tree algorithm, with nodes positioned and links drawn via d3.hierarchy and linkHorizontal. The SVG-based rendering places text labels directly on nodes, whose font size decreases with depth. The diagram includes zoom functionality via the d3.zoom API and loads its data from a JSON file.

World Countries Tree

This tree diagram shows the hierarchical structure of the world's countries, organized by continent (e.g., Asia) and subregion (e.g., Southern Asia). The visualization uses a horizontal icicle layout built with d3.tree and d3.hierarchy from data.json. Nodes are labeled with country names, and edges are drawn as horizontal links using d3.linkHorizontal. Zooming is enabled through d3.zoom, allowing users to explore the full hierarchy. The SVG output styles paths with a teal stroke and text with a serif font, Playfair Display.

World Countries Tree

This interactive tree diagram visualizes the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. The visualization uses a horizontal, left-to-right layout to display the hierarchy, with country names rendered as text nodes. The code employs D3 v5's `tree`, `hierarchy`, `linkHorizontal`, and `zoom` APIs to construct and render the SVG graphic. The root node is labeled "World," with branches for continents like Asia, and subsequent subregions like "Southern Asia" or "Western Asia," leading to individual country labels.

World Countries Tree

This visualization presents the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. The tree layout renders the data as a branching diagram, with each node labeled by its geographic name. The visualization uses D3 v5's `tree` and `hierarchy` functions to compute the layout, and `linkHorizontal` to draw the connecting paths. Users can pan and zoom the SVG canvas using D3's `zoom` behavior. The data describes countries grouped under regions like Asia, which is further divided into subregions such as Southern and Western Asia.

World Countries Tree

This tree diagram visualizes the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. The root node is "World," which branches into continents like Asia, then into subregions such as Southern Asia, and finally into individual countries. The visualization uses D3.js v5 to parse a JSON data file and render the hierarchy with a simple horizontal link arrangement via the `linkHorizontal` generator. The SVG output displays country names as text nodes, with the entire tree laid out using D3's `tree` layout, styled with a blue link color and a serif font.

World Countries Tree

This interactive visualization displays a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and region. The SVG-based layout uses a horizontal dendrogram structure, where each country name appears as a text label connected by curved, teal paths. The view supports pan and zoom interactions through the `d3.zoom` event handler. The data structure follows a nested JSON format containing `World` as the root, dividing into continents like Asia and its subregions (Southern Asia, Western Asia) before listing individual countries alphabetically. The code employs `d3.tree`, `d3.hierarchy`, `d3.linkHorizontal`, and `d3.event` APIs to compute the layout and manage the dynamic transformation.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical organization of world countries by continent and region, displayed as a horizontal tree layout. The tree is built from a JSON data file that groups countries into subregions like Southern Asia and Western Asia, with all labels rendered in the Playfair Display typeface. It uses D3 v5’s `tree`, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` generators to compute the layout and draw curved links, while the `zoom` behavior enables panning and scaling of the entire SVG viewport. Text size decreases with each level of depth.

World Countries Tree

This visualization presents the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent (such as Asia) and subregion (like Southern Asia). The data is loaded from a JSON file and rendered as a horizontal tree layout using D3.js. The code specifically uses D3's `hierarchy`, `tree`, and `linkHorizontal` functions to compute the layout and generate SVG paths, which are appended to an SVG element. The tree is sized to the browser window, and country names are implied through the data structure, though labels are not rendered in this example.

World Countries Tree

This chart presents the hierarchical relationship of world countries organized by continent and subregion, using a tree layout. The visualization shows the structure from the root "World" node down through continents like Asia and its subdivisions, ultimately listing individual countries. Built with D3 v5, the code uses `d3.tree`, `d3.hierarchy`, and `d3.linkHorizontal` to compute node positions and draw connecting paths. Text labels display each country name, with font size decreasing at deeper levels. The interactive SVG supports zooming via the `d3.zoom` event handler.
