This choropleth map visualizes the world’s countries colored by their economic classification. It renders geographic boundaries from the world-atlas TopoJSON dataset and colors each country using a spectral color scale. The map supports zoom and pan interactions, and hovering highlights a country in red while a tooltip shows its name and economy type. The implementation uses D3’s geoNaturalEarth1 projection, geoPath for map geometry, and a custom SVG color legend built with D3’s ordinal scale.
