A blank, full-viewport SVG canvas responds to the browser window’s dimensions. The page loads D3 v5 and imports the `select` function from D3, but the main drawing code is commented out, leaving an empty white space. The stylesheet fixes the body to the viewport with hidden overflow, ensuring the SVG occupies the entire screen without scrolling.

Blank Canvas

An empty SVG canvas occupies the full browser viewport, presenting a blank space with no data or visual elements rendered. The page sets up a fixed, full-screen body area and an initial 960×500 pixel SVG element, though the JavaScript includes commented-out code that would resize the SVG and append a rectangle. Using D3 v5's `select` method, the script references the SVG but takes no active drawing action, leaving the visualization completely empty.

blank canvas

An empty SVG canvas stretches across the viewport, containing no marks or data. The example demonstrates a minimal starting point for D3-based visualization work. It uses d3.select to reference the SVG element and computes the available dimensions from document.body.clientWidth and document.body.clientHeight, though the code to set the SVG size and append a rectangle is commented out. The page relies on d3.v5 and styles the body to fill the screen with hidden overflow.

Blank Canvas

A single, empty SVG canvas fills the viewport with no data or marks rendered. The example demonstrates a minimal D3 v5 setup where `select` is imported from the d3 library and used to target the `svg` element, while `document.body.clientWidth` and `clientHeight` capture the available screen dimensions. The `styles.css` fixes the body to the viewport edges with hidden overflow, ensuring the blank canvas remains the sole focus. This serves as a starting template for building visualizations on a clean slate.

blank canvas

A blank white canvas fills the entire browser viewport, rendered as a single rounded rectangle with no data or interaction. The example demonstrates the minimal setup for a D3.js v5 project using the `select` and `attr` APIs to size and style an SVG element. The code imports utilities from the `d3` module, sets the SVG dimensions to match the window’s `clientWidth` and `clientHeight`, and appends a rectangle with a 40-pixel corner radius. The page uses fixed positioning in CSS to eliminate margins and scrolling, creating an empty, immersive visual space.

Blank Canvas

A blank SVG canvas fills the browser window, defined by a single rounded rectangle that matches the viewport dimensions. The page appears as an empty, frameless space with no data or interaction, emphasizing the starting point for a visualization. The code uses D3 v5’s `select` and `arc` imports, though only `select` renders the static shape. The SVG size adapts to the document body’s client height and width, while CSS fixes the body and hides overflow, ensuring the canvas remains fully visible without scrollbars.

blank canvas

A blank white canvas fills the browser viewport, rendered as a single rounded rectangle. The visualization demonstrates a minimal starting point for D3-based projects, showing an empty SVG surface with no data or interactive elements. The code uses D3 v5's `select` function to access the SVG element, reads its width and height attributes, and appends a `rect` with a 40-pixel corner radius using `svg.append`. A fixed-position CSS body ensures the canvas remains centered and non-scrollable.

Blank Canvas

A blank SVG canvas fills the browser window, sized to the full viewport. The example demonstrates a minimal D3 v5 setup where a single SVG element is selected and its width and height attributes are set dynamically using `document.body.clientWidth` and `document.body.clientHeight`. The code imports the `select` function from D3 and applies no other visual elements, serving as a starting point for further visualization work.
