This example visualizes electric vehicle deliveries in the USA from 2019 to 2022 as a donut chart. It uses D3 v4’s `pie` and `arc` generators to create the segments, with an ordinal color scale for differentiation. The chart displays brand names, percentage shares, and delivery counts in thousands within a legend, while the total is calculated from the loaded CSV data. Data is fetched asynchronously via `d3.csv` from a GitHub Gist, and the SVG is rendered using a custom background image and scaled to a 960x450 viewport.
