This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-inspired artwork as an interactive full-screen SVG visualization. It displays alternating vertical and horizontal colored bands that are masked to reveal a circular cutout in the center of the canvas, creating a geometric interplay between line directions. The vertical stripes use a gold-to-red linear gradient, while the horizontal stripes are rendered in the default black. The piece is built entirely with raw SVG DOM manipulation via `createElementNS`, using SVG `<mask>` elements and `linearGradient` definitions to achieve the visual effect without any external libraries.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece using raw SVG and JavaScript, creating a geometric composition of overlapping horizontal and vertical bands. The artwork shows a grid of alternating colored stripes confined to a circular mask, with a second inverted mask revealing a contrasting ring pattern. The code builds SVG elements dynamically, using two SVG masks—one with a white circle on black and another with a black circle on white—to control which stripes appear in the center and edges. It relies on standard DOM APIs like `createElementNS` and `setAttribute` to generate 100 rectangles in each orientation, without any external libraries.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece, displaying a grid of horizontal and vertical stripes that intersect within two circular masks on a full-screen SVG canvas. The work uses overlapping masked rectangles to create the geometric pattern, with the horizontal lines visible inside one circle and vertical lines inside another, reversing the color relationship through complementary masks. The code builds the SVG entirely through the raw Document Object Model API, creating elements such as `rect`, `circle`, and `mask` with `createElementNS` and `setAttribute`. It generates 100 stripes in each direction, spacing them evenly to form the minimalist composition.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-inspired geometric composition entirely through SVG elements. It shows a grid of horizontal and vertical bands that intersect within a centered circular boundary, creating a patterned interplay of lines and negative space. The code constructs the visualization using raw JavaScript and the SVG DOM API, creating two masks—one with a black background and white circle, the other with the inverse—to alternately reveal horizontal stripes inside the circle and vertical stripes outside it. One hundred rectangles are generated for each orientation, each masked to produce the final layered effect.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt wall drawing as an interactive SVG canvas. It displays a central white circular mask over a field of 100 horizontal black stripes, with the circle acting as a window that reveals the full-width bars. The piece uses the SVG DOM API directly, creating a mask and rectangles via JavaScript, without any external styling. Each stripe is 10 pixels tall, and the composition fills the entire browser viewport, adapting to the window’s dimensions.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt geometric art piece using a dynamic SVG composition of horizontal and vertical bands. It displays a grid of thin colored rectangles that form a distinct circular pattern through the use of two SVG masks, creating a visual interplay between the line orientation and the masked circle. The code builds the entire scene programmatically with the raw SVG API, generating 100 horizontal stripes and 100 vertical stripes in a loop. A circular mask reveals the horizontal lines against a fully visible background, while a second, inverse mask isolates the vertical lines within the same circle, producing the artwork’s layered effect.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece using raw SVG. A circular mask reveals a set of horizontal, evenly spaced rectangles that span the full width of the viewport, creating a striped pattern confined to a central circle. The code constructs the SVG dynamically via the `document.createElementNS` API, setting the mask’s circle radius to 200 pixels and drawing 100 rectangles at 20-pixel intervals with 10-pixel heights. No external libraries are used; the rendering relies entirely on native browser SVG elements and attributes.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece as an interactive SVG composition. It shows a circular mask revealing horizontal and vertical striped bands, while a second inverted mask exposes the same structure in negative space. The code uses raw SVG APIs to create masks, rectangles, and circles without external libraries, generating 200 striped rectangles dynamically via nested loops. The rendering approach relies on SVG mask elements to layer and alternate visibility across the full viewport.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This visualization reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece using SVG elements and mask-based compositing. It shows a grid of horizontal and vertical stripes that intersect within a central circular region, creating a geometric pattern where line orientations alternate inside and outside the circle. The code uses raw SVG DOM manipulation via `createElementNS` to build rectangles and defines two masks (`circle-mask` and `circle-mask-2`) to control visibility. Horizontal stripes appear inside the circle, while vertical stripes fill the outer area, demonstrating how SVG masks can selectively reveal layered shapes.
