A yellow circle with a black outline forms the face of a smiley, while two smaller black circles serve as eyes on an SVG canvas. The example demonstrates basic SVG shape rendering using native elements like `<circle>` and attributes for fill, stroke, and positioning. The code sets a fixed canvas size and uses inline CSS to hide page margins and overflow. It is a static starter template, showing only the facial features without a mouth, midway toward a complete smiley face.
