This example generates a static, full-window SVG visualization of vertical lines, inspired by Sol LeWitt's minimalist wall drawings. It shows one hundred narrow rectangles arranged evenly across the screen, each with a fixed width and height matching the viewport, creating a rhythmic pattern of alternating line and gap. The code uses the plain Document API with `createElementNS` and `appendChild` to construct SVG `<rect>` elements dynamically in a loop. The dimensions derive from `window.innerWidth` and `window.innerHeight`, and the styling comes from a linked stylesheet, though no external rendering library is used.

Sol LeWitt lineas horizontales

This example recreates Sol LeWitt’s horizontal line wall drawing using 30 overlapping black rectangles that fill the entire browser window. The SVG is created dynamically via the Document Object Model (DOM) API, with rectangle elements positioned at fixed vertical intervals and sized to the viewport’s width. The code uses `createElementNS` and `setAttribute` to generate the vector graphics, producing a minimalist, generative composition that mirrors the artist’s geometric style. No external libraries are required.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction - Vertical Lines

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt drawing using JavaScript and the SVG API. It creates a full-screen SVG canvas and draws 100 vertical black rectangles, each 10 pixels wide and spaced 20 pixels apart, with no horizontal variation. The code uses `document.createElementNS` and `setAttribute` to generate the rectangles dynamically. The piece directly references LeWitt's instruction-based art, presenting a simple, systematic grid of vertical lines that fills the entire browser window, adapting to its dimensions.

Sol Lewit reproduction vertical lines

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt-inspired drawing using raw SVG elements created programmatically. It renders 100 vertical rectangles, each 10 pixels wide, spaced 20 pixels apart across the full height of the viewport. The code uses the SVG namespace via `document.createElementNS` and sets `width` and `height` attributes directly on the `<svg>` root, with no external libraries. The rendering approach is deterministic and purely geometric, mirroring LeWitt’s instructional wall drawings through simple repetition.

Sol LeWitt

This example generates a vertical field of narrow, evenly spaced black rectangles across the full height of the browser window, creating a rhythmic, striped composition reminiscent of Sol LeWitt’s wall drawings. It renders 100 SVG `<rect>` elements directly onto an `<svg>` created with the DOM API `document.createElementNS`. The rectangles are positioned incrementally along the x-axis at 20-pixel intervals, each with a fixed width of 10 pixels, while the height is set to match the window’s inner height. No external libraries are used; the visualization relies solely on native SVG parsing and JavaScript.

Sol Lewitt

This example renders a full-screen SVG composed of one hundred vertical rectangles, each ten pixels wide, spaced twenty pixels apart. The rectangles are created programmatically using the native Document Object Model API, with `document.createElementNS` and `setAttribute` to construct each SVG `rect` element. The `window.innerWidth` and `window.innerHeight` properties define the canvas dimensions, while the fixed loop count determines the layout. The result is a minimalist, grid-like pattern inspired by Sol LeWitt’s geometric wall drawings, though no data source or interaction drives the composition.

Sol LeWitt Platt - vertical

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece using vertical black lines rendered as a full-screen SVG background. The visualization shows a series of evenly spaced, thin vertical rectangles that fill the viewport, creating a minimalist grid-like pattern. It works by generating 100 SVG `<rect>` elements in a loop, each positioned at 20-pixel intervals with a fixed width of 10 pixels and height equal to the window’s height. The code uses the native Document Object Model (DOM) API to create and append the SVG elements, with no external libraries or data sources involved.

Sol Lewitt

This example renders a minimalist, generative visualization inspired by Sol LeWitt’s geometric art. It displays 100 thin, evenly spaced vertical lines that span the full height of the browser window, creating a subtle striped pattern across the entire viewport. The code uses raw JavaScript with the DOM API to create an SVG `rect` for each line, appending them to an `svg` element sized to the window’s inner dimensions. A `circle` element is also initialized but left without coordinates, so it remains invisible in the final output.

Sol LeWitt Reproduction-VerticalLine

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece using an SVG canvas that fills the browser window. It shows a grid of one hundred thin vertical black lines, evenly spaced across the full height of the viewport. The code creates each line as an SVG `rect` element, setting its `x` position by multiplying an index by 19 pixels. The rendering relies solely on the native DOM API `document.createElementNS` for SVG, with no external visualization libraries.
