Fork of Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays a hierarchical dataset of world countries organized by continent and subregion. The graph uses curved links and rotated text labels to show the nested structure, with font size scaling by depth level. Built with D3 v4, it utilizes `d3.cluster`, `d3.hierarchy`, and `d3.zoom` for layout and interaction. Panning and zooming are enabled through the zoom module, which applies transformations to the SVG group. The data comes from a local `data.json` file containing the geographic hierarchy.

Fork of Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays a hierarchical organization of countries grouped by continents and subregions, with each country name positioned along circular branches radiating from a central "World" node. The code uses d3.hierarchy and d3.cluster to compute the tree layout, then projects node positions into polar coordinates for the radial arrangement. SVG paths with bezier curves connect parent and child nodes, while text labels employ font sizing based on depth and rotation for smaller branches. Panning and zooming are enabled through d3.zoom, applied to an SVG group containing all links and labels.

Fork of Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays a hierarchical breakdown of world countries by continent and subregion, with each node labeled by name and scaled by depth. The layout uses a D3 cluster layout, projecting nodes in a circular arrangement from a central root. Users can pan and zoom the SVG canvas via d3.zoom. The data, loaded from a JSON file, is structured hierarchically, and the code adapts Curran Kelleher’s original block by adjusting link paths and text rotation for readability.

Fork of Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays a hierarchical breakdown of world countries organized by continent and subregion, with each node labeled at its corresponding depth level. The visualization supports panning and zooming through the `d3.zoom` API, which applies transforms to the SVG group element. The code uses `d3.cluster()` to compute node positions in a circular layout and `d3.scaleSqrt` to size the text based on tree depth. Links draw as curved paths for deeper nodes, while leaf nodes align text to the outer edge for readability. The data originates from a JSON file containing the full country hierarchy.

Fork of Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualizes the hierarchical relationships between world countries, grouped by continent and subregion. Using D3.js v4, it renders a circular cluster layout where nodes are positioned by angle and radius. The visualization reads a nested JSON file and uses `d3.cluster` to compute positions, `d3.hierarchy` to process the tree structure, and `d3.zoom` to enable panning and zooming interactions. The code uses `project()` for polar-to-Cartesian conversion and styles text with different font sizes and rotations based on depth.

Fork of Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. It uses a circular layout where leaf nodes representing individual countries are positioned at the outer ring, with intermediate labels for continents and regions shown with larger fonts. The visualization supports interactive panning and zooming through the `d3.zoom` API, which updates an SVG group’s transform based on user gestures. The tree layout is computed using `d3.hierarchy` and `d3.cluster`, with links drawn via cubic Bézier curves and text labels rotated to follow the radial orientation. Data comes from a local JSON file (`data.json`) containing the full country hierarchy.

Fork of Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

A radial tree visualization displays the hierarchical structure of countries, organized by world region and subregion. The diagram, rendered as an SVG, places the root at the center with branches extending outward. Users can pan and zoom the view. The code uses the D3.js `d3.cluster` layout to position nodes based on angle and radius. It reads the hierarchy from a JSON file and uses `d3.hierarchy` to build the tree structure. Text labels are rotated and styled according to their depth in the tree.

Fork of Radial Tree of Countries Hierarchy

This full-circle radial tree displays a hierarchical breakdown of world countries by continent and subregion, using a JSON dataset. The visualization supports panning and zooming through D3’s `d3.zoom` event handler. The layout is computed with `d3.cluster()` in a 360-degree arrangement, with curved link paths and nodes rendered as SVG circles. Text labels rotate radially to follow branch angles, with font size scaled by depth using `d3.scaleSqrt`. Distinct stroke colors and dash patterns differentiate hierarchy levels.
