A blank SVG canvas is set up with a 1-pixel border, and the page includes a large "Fork of D3 Starter" title in 13em text. The visualization itself currently contains no graphical marks or data-driven elements; it only establishes the basic structure for a D3 v6 project. The HTML loads the D3 library via a CDN link and references an external `bundle.js` script, while the accompanying `index.js` imports the `select` function from D3, though no selection or drawing operations are performed in the included code.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates a minimal D3 version 6 setup, rendering an empty SVG canvas with the text “Fork of D3 Starter” displayed in large font. It shows how to include D3 via a CDN link and load a separate JavaScript bundle. The code imports the `select` function from D3 and logs it to the console, illustrating basic module usage. The page uses an SVG element sized at 960 by 500 pixels within an HTML body.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example initializes an SVG canvas and renders the text “Hello D3 version” as a minimal starter project, demonstrating the basic setup for D3 version 6. The code uses `select` from D3 to target the `body` element, appends an SVG with fixed width and height, and adds a text element with specified positioning. It loads D3 v7 from a CDN and runs via a bundled script, serving as a simple foundation for further visualization development.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates a minimal D3.js v6 setup, showing a blank SVG canvas with a red background and the text "D3 new" displayed in the page body. It uses `d3.select` and the `svg.style` method to apply styling to the SVG element. The code loads D3 from a CDN and includes both an inline script and an external JavaScript module, though the module only sets body text. The visualization is static, with no data binding or interactive elements, serving as a basic starter template for D3 projects.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates the minimal setup required to begin a D3 v7 project. The page renders a blank SVG element appended to the body via `d3.select` and `append`, with the document styled to display a large, centered font size but no visible data or marks. The code imports the `select` function from the D3 module and loads the full D3 library from a CDN, while the package.json specifies d3 7.8.5 as the sole dependency. It serves as a foundational template rather than a functional visualization.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates a minimal D3.js starter template, rendering an empty SVG element onto a blank page. The visualization serves as a basic foundation, with the page’s body text styled at an extreme font size to showcase the framework’s setup. The code explicitly calls `d3.select('body').append(svg)` to attach an SVG container, relying on the D3 v7 library loaded from the unpkg CDN. No data or visual marks are drawn, making it a pure initiation into D3’s DOM manipulation and rendering structure.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates a minimal D3.js starter template, rendering a single empty SVG rectangle on an 800x400 canvas. The visualization shows how to set up a basic D3 project with an HTML5 document structure and inline SVG. The code loads D3 version 7.0.4 from the unpkg CDN and uses JavaScript to define a simple graphic element, providing a foundation for building more complex data visualizations with the D3 framework.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates a minimal D3.js visualization that renders an empty SVG canvas with a solid red background. The code imports the `select` function from D3 and uses it to target an SVG element within an HTML page, then applies the background color styling through D3’s `style` method. The visualization relies on D3 v7.6.1, loaded via the unpkg CDN, and the complete setup is contained in an `index.html` file with a separate `bundle.js` script for the custom logic.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates the basic setup for a D3 visualization using version 7, with the body text styled at an extremely large font size. The page loads D3 from a CDN and includes a separate bundle.js script, showing the standard pattern of separating library imports from custom code. The visualization itself appears as a blank canvas with the word "Fork" rendered at 13em, serving as a template for users to build upon. The code relies on D3's core library, loaded via the unpkg CDN, with no additional data sources or specific D3 APIs invoked in the visible markup.
