This example displays a scatter plot of penguin measurements, using flipper length and body mass for the x- and y-axes, while encoding species by color (orange, green, blue). It additionally maps bill length and bill depth as redundant visual channels via the circle’s `rx` and `ry` attributes, creating elliptical markers. The code loads CSV data from a GitHub gist using `d3.csv` with a custom row parser, then renders SVG circles with D3 v5’s selection joins and `scaleLinear`, `axisLeft`, and `axisBottom` APIs. Titles and axis labels are added as SVG text elements.
